| Hi there to all my adoring cyber fans....which I think has dwindled significantly down to one or two people! However, I must say that I do have the most wonderful excuse... really!!!.... I do not have internet access right now and must go to the library to be able and update! And boy, do I have updates to make!!! Sheldon and I made it safe and and not so sure about sound (at least in mind) after such a long trip with small children! We arrived in Kansas probably around midnight or closer to one... I really can't remember seeing that it has been a while back! Anyway, Sheldon has started working with American Eagle Outfitters. They have a huge warehouse in Ottawa and it's only a 5 mile drive from where we are staying. They are a great company to work for with excellent benefits including discounted clothes! That means a lot to a girl! We are still looking for a house and trusting God to provide the perfect place. We have a few possibilities, just waiting for His plan! On to more new... maybe not so shocking to most of you, but we are expecting our fourth in April! Just five weeks away! We are excited, but I am also exhausted! We are having a girl and are planning on naming her "Lilia Jaayla. Serena and Aliyah just can't wait, but Jesse is still in his own little world and as right now has absolutely no clue! I think that once a new little one comes and takes some of "HIS" mommies attention he will notice very quickly!!! My children have grown significantly... I really can't believe it! Jesse especially is just so big... only 20 months old and already growing out of his 2T clothes! Yikes! The sad part is, I have to go out and buy all these clothes and then.... whoop.... he's out of them with no one else to hand them down too!!! The girls are enjoying very much being able to run about outside and all the extra room they have to play! I really feel that in many ways that this has been a great move for us... there are some adjustments to be made, as in all changes, but things are good!!! Well folks, it's time for me to move on... I'm almost out of my precious alone time! (Come on, you really didn't think that I brought three kids with me to the quiet library did you?) I trust that all is well, and maybe one of these days I can return to posting pictures and all other sorts of things, but as for now, this is what you get! Love!!! | | |
| Yep, I know, I've been a very bad blogger!!!! I have a great excuse
this time.... really!!! I'm packing up my entire house and home to move
a lot of miles away (something like 600 or so!) We've been thinking,
discussing, and praying for a while, and have decided that this would
be a good change for our little family! So, either Sunday or Monday
morning, we will be headed out to the great open spaces of Kansas where
family abounds and the air smells so clean.... especially early in the
morning!
You all will have to forgive me for my horrible spelling tonight! It's
late, and I have a much later night ahead of me! I'm taking myself a
little break.... as well as my poor Sheldon! God love 'em.... he's been
working extremely hard trying to get all this together!
Anyway, I will be heading off here for probably a good long while!
Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll be able to get on here once in a while.... oh!
and really bad news here folks... I've LOST my camera in all this
mess!!! HELP!!!!! Wish me luck and breathe me a prayer! Love to you
all!!!!

| Yes, I know, it's been a little bit since I've been here! Things around
here have been busy as usual! I just wanted to share with you a few
cute things my oldest daughter was asking Sheldon and I last night on
our way home from church.
Serena: " Mommy, why do babies crawl when they're little?"
Me: "Because they haven't learned how to walk yet."
Serena: "Ohhhh."
Thoughtful pause.
Serena: "Mommy, how do little girls grow big?"
I stopped to think on this one a minute and asked Sheldon what to say.
Us: "By eating all your food, growing strong bones, and listening to mommy and daddy."
Serena: Ohhhh
Another thoughtful pause.
Serena: 'How do little boys grow big?"
We told her the same thing....
Serena: "Mommy, how can a little sister grow little?"
You could tell she sounded confused...
Sheldon: "They grow up big like any little girl...."
Serena: Okay!! How do cars grow big?
Me: They're made big!
Serena: Okay!
By this time, we were home, and her little mind was still turning! It was so cute! I love little moments like these!!

| Hello! We have all made it home safely!
How nice it is to have my children home and things running as much to
normal as possible! I had a safe trip to Cayman, and although I was not
able to make it to the beach, it was nice to see some of Sheldon's
family while I was visiting. Unfortunately, I had to leave a few
days early because of "Hurricane Dean" that was coming through. It was
supposed to hit Grand Cayman pretty bad, so my mom-in-law and I both
thought that it would be best if the kids and I left Saturday morning
(which was the day we were all going to go to the beach) I have never
seen an airport so crowded in my entire life! It took me over two hours
just to reach the ticket agent. My plane was scheduled to leave at 8:00
AM but we did not leave until noon, just trying to get all the
ticketed passengers on the plane. My mom-in-law stayed to make sure my
plane left okay, and she said that once we were gone, that the crowd
had gotten worse and that lines were going out the doors!! Once I got
to Miami, I thought that I was going to miss my connecting flight to
Cincinnati because I only had one hour to get through customs, collect
my luggage, get a new boarding pass, through security, and then to find
my gate... all with three kids! I'm so thankful that God sent someone
along to help me and that the plane I was flying out on arrived late at
the gate! Some of the looks I received while running through the
airport (pushing a double stroller, holding Serena in front of me, and
then having on a backpack and large hand bag) were quite humorous!
This one lady (I'm not kidding) pretty much got up out of her seat,
mouth wide open, pointing at me to her traveling companions exclaiming,
"Look at her!!!" It made me laugh!
I do have to praise God for keeping Sheldon's family safe in both
Jamaica and Grand Cayman! His sister and two nieces and two nephews had
a very close call with the front wall of their house getting washed out
and them right along with it! They managed to swim to higher ground and
someone rescued them from there! It was very scary for us for a while
because all we knew was that their house was destroyed and no one knew
where they were at. So thankful that they only have minor injuries and
are doing well. Please pray for them though because all of their things
were washed away and they have no where to live. We were really worried
that Grand Cayman was going to get hit just as bad, but thankfully, the
hurricane turned a bit so they only had strong winds and some rain. I
think they lost power for a while, but no major damages! Thank you
Jesus!! It was very hard for Sheldon to be over here and not being able
to help his family through this time, but God is good and everyone is
safe and sound.
Well, not much more is happening around here... sorry about the lack of
pictures once again... I really wasn't able to take many because of the
circumstances, and I have forgotten to bring my camera charger!
Grrrr... anyway, I will try to get some pictures up soon! As for now,
you'll have to do with pictures taken on a previous trip to Cayman.

I thought that this was really cool! We took the kids on a glass bottom boat ride! Very nice!!
We passed this cool looking boat on our way out to take a ride on this submarine! It was really cool to see all the pretty coral and fish.

Back Row L-R: Sheldon's cousin, Dave and his wife Monick, Sheldon
Front Row L-R: Sheldon's sisters: Simone, Denise, and Lisa.
Simone is the one whose house was destroyed!! So glad that she is safe!
Lisa also lives in Jamaica and thankfully, she was kept safe as well!!

I'm not sure of these kids names, but the girls in the second row
from the back (in the green tank top and Jamaica shirt) are our
nieces... Janelle and Jodi... they were the ones who were in Jamaica
and went through the hurricane. The two boys in the second row and the
little boy sitting in the chair beside Serena are our nephews. Jaidyn
(yellow shirt) Jordon (red shirt) and Jori (orange shirt). Jordan and
Jori also went through the hurricane in Jamaica! I am so glad that God
kept them safe!! They are all great kids and so much fun to be around!
Anyway, I think that this is it for now! Hope all is well! If you think
about it, Hurricane Dean is affecting a friend of our's family in
Belize so try and keep them in your prayers! It's hard for those of us
that are stuck up here and unable to help or know what is going on with
our families in situations like these!! Take care!! | | |
| So, I get to leave our house
early tomorrow morning (4:30AM) for one of my most favorite places in
the world.... Grand Cayman!!! I strongly suggest that you all visit if
you ever get a chance.... it is soooo beautiful! I get to see all my
kids after 2 and a half weeks! Whoohoo! Starting to get nice and
excited! So sorry that I don't have pictures again... busy busy busy
trying to get ready to go! Wish me luck coming through customs
with three kids! I will promise to update with picture upon my return
from paradise!!!! Love you all!!
